I have completley fallen for him - I shouldn't have in the first place but I have. I'm also concerned, because he told me him and his gf are on the verge of breaking up, but I think he may ask me to our semi-formal, (his gf dosen't go to our school) and I feel bad that he has a gf, (though he probably won't by Dec. 21st) but I want to say yes. As well, if I say yes now, will he think I'm less of a girl because I said yes when I knew he had a girlfriend?
I know I sound like a teenage prissy girl, but I'm really not. I've never liked a guy so much in my life and I don't want to mess this up!

Your young and only have a few dances to go to in your HS years. If he asks you, go. Just amke sure you make it a point to tell him that although you like him and would like to keep seeing him, you can't do it knowing he has a girlfriend already. Let him know you would be happy to keep seeing him if he gives the GF the boot! If you like him that much and he likes you back, then it will all fall into place and work out fine. Have fun and wear something purple! (it always worked for me!)

i'm going to try not to ruin your happiness. but maybe you would like to find out first why they are on the verge of breaking up. you want to know the problem so you can find a preventive solution so it won't happen (if ever) to your relationship.
another thing is, he just sends signals that he likes you, but he has never formally told you right? how can you have (completely) fallen for him already? isn't that too quick? you haven't even known him well yet. you're making it way too easy for him.
i do think that he will think that you are 'EASY', come on girl, make him work for your 'YES'! there is no thrill going after a girl who gives in too quick, and men tend to disregard easilly girls who do. i know, i'm a man and i would feel the same. SORRY.

Well, firstly, remember the Golden Rule. How would you feel if your boyfriend went to the semi-formal with another girl? Wait until they break up. You can talk and flirt and things, but the choice is really his and if he cares about you, he`ll break up with her for you. Make it clear that you are not going to anything like that with him until they break-up. It doesn`t matter if he thinks of you as less of a girl, but its basic morals not to do that to someone. Try to influence him, but do the right thing. Don`t say yes until they break-up.

I think you should tell him upfront that you are not comfortabe with him asking you out knowing that he is presently committed to somebody else. Tell him that you would want to go out with him but not while he remains to be somebody else's boyfriend out of respect for the girl he is currently dating. If he truly likes you then he will do the honorable thing and break up with his girlfriend first before asking you out. In the event he won't ask you again then he is definitely not worth all the trouble.

He likes you more than he likes her, so he'll leave her to be with you. Happens all the time :] Don't feel bad, because he wouldn't leave her if they were close. They probably don't deserve eachother.
But then again you gotta watch out, because he as a girlfriend and he's talking to other girls. What makes you think he wouldn't when you're the girlfriend...

ya they all tell u they r on the verge of breaking up just to get u know what off of u then dump u , stay away from that guy , sounds like trouble , not only that , when his girlfriend gets word of this she'll be hot to kick your but , so just forget about him and find a guy that is single

i would suggest u that .. wait till he has break up with his gf completely. If not other will mistaken u as the third party. In a R/S there is no right or wrong.. just that other see u as a winner (to hv him) and other see her as a victim (who lose him) ofcoz, human neture.. other ppl will shed a tears for the loser. Just wait n monitor. If he loves u, he will definitely leave her for u.

If this guy is cheating on the girlfriend what makes you think he will be faithful to you. It doesn't take long to break up with someone so if he really wanted to break up with this other girl he would have already done so.

say yes...just not now...tell him you dont think it would be rite since he has a gf but a week before the dance if he still wants to go and no longer has a gf then you would love to...but dont make it come across as if your telling him to break up w. his girlfriend...
