There's nothing 'gentlemanly ' about it. This is an illegal and unconstitutional war that began for really lame reasons:
1) The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Hussein ever since the days of Desert Storm when George. H.W. Bush criticized and humiliated for not 'finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time;
2) Ever since World War II, the giant U.S. military-industrial complex realized how profitable 'war' could be. They bought up all the politicians, hired pricey lobbyists, and formed special interest groups to encourage and promote 'war'. Thus, the U.S. was involved in the Korean Conflict; the Cuban Missile Crisis; the Cold War; Vietnam and Desert Storm. It was time for a new 'war' to boost the sagging profits of companies like Halliburton, Sikorsky, Boeing, McDonnell-Douglas, Lockheed-Martin, Bechtol, and the Carlyle Group (in which George H.W. Bush and James Baker are associates, along with another family by the name of binLaden);
3) Dick Cheney and his Exxon-Mobil buddies want all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq' sand, and will stop at nothing to get it - at any cost. If they can continue to keep America dependent on cheap, easily-accessible foreign OIL, they make millions.
So, the nameless, faceless sub-humans who actually control our government from behind-the-scenes have ordered Bush to 'stay the course' in Iraq.
If that's not the case - if Bush really expects to withdraw troops by 2009, WHY is the U.S.A. building the largest embassy in the world on a 104-acre site in downtown Baghdad overlooking the headquarters of the 'new' Iraqi puppet government installed by the Bush administration??? The U.S. will dominate Iraq until every drop of OIL is sucked out of that nation's land.
The multi-TRILLION-dollar debt that Bush has handed American taxpayers will take generations to pay off. Meanwhile, our largest creditor - China - will eventually "cut up our credit cards" and force the U.S.A. to hand over everything to them: our OIL reserves; our military hardware; our banks; our real estate; our weapons of mass destruction; our corporations; our natural resources (like coal, minerals, wood, etc.).
And the U.S. will become subservient to the world's new 'super power', the Peoples Republic of China.
Yes, this insipid 'war' is all about making money for big OIL and big business. Yes, our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be paying dearly for Bush's folly - not only in financial terms, but in terms of social structure, our freedoms and rights, and the way we life in America today. Future generations will find themselves in an 84% tax bracket, which means they'll have to earn $100,000 a year and learn to live on $16,000.
There is nothing 'gentlemanly' about this stupid 'war'. -RKO-

You sure don't know very much do you? Where is all the oil that we're "securing"? If we were taking the oil, oil prices would have dropped severely during election time.

So you want more taxes? Well - I don't. I don't know anyone except democrats who want more taxes.

It didn't take but maybe 5 or 6 years to get WW2 "paid off".

Get some real information off reputable sites instead of democratically run sites.
