it depends on where you get it and who does it...but yea it hurts a little....

Imagine you have a sunburn where ever you want the tattoo... Then imagine someone pinching a little tiny section on your skin, over and over and over again...

Definitely do NOT drink any alcohol.... It will thin your blood and you WILL bleed more. A good tattooist will stop right then, and you will have to come back later... so now you have a tattoo that is not even hardly started.... :( That would royally suck....

As long as you have really thought this through, and you want the tattoo, you will be able to make it through the pain. It isn't too bad, but I have only had them on my lower stomach and my lower back.... Lower stomach hurts more right on the bone, but it is bearable, especially if you really want the tattoo.... It's like childbirth, only in the fact that you don't remember the pain after the tattoo.... You are so happy with the tattoo that it didn't hurt at all.... Then since it didn't hurt, you go to get a second, and you go, holy crap this hurts. Then you are finished and then it doesn't hurt.... :) (I have never had a baby yet, but I am just going from conversations...) The tattoos are mine though... That is something that I have had, and will have again soon... They are so incredibly ADDICTING.... You have to have more... :) They are great though... Just make sure you are really happy with your design... :) It is permanent...

All tattoos hurt. Depending on location of the tattoo, skill of the artist and your person response to pain, the pain from a tattoo will vary greatly.

Like everyone said...it depends on your pain threshold and where you are getting it.

Typically, the areas that hurt the most is areas you dont really use or move around with. For example, your kidney area, neck, spine, etc are areas that will probably hurt a lot. But areas like your lower back, shoulder area, etc will not hurt as much.

But you have to realize/remember too is that the part of getting a tattoo is being able to sit through the pain to get it. Good luck

Actually it depends on where you get it at. The after part is what hurts the most. Take a 600 mg. ibuprofen an hour or so before you get one. Don't let it wear off. If hurts worse to get it on a place like your foot because it's mostly skin. your lower back is more painful than the top of your back. It doesn't hurt as bad as most people say it does but if you don't like needles, in the end you'll think you were just being silly. :)

It hurts wherever you get it your going to feel pain but less pain is in certain areas with more fat tissue.. Areas like the wrist and ankle are going to hurt a tad more...I suggest no drinking your blood thins and thus you bleed more and it just prolongs the procedure which yes you still feel the pain...and you will continue to feel the next day....but if your really enthused about the tattoo your getting all that pain will be worth the beauty mark on your skin.

Actually, it varies on what part of the body. The lower back is sensitive, but not as sensitive as your sides where your ribs are. I have several tattoos one in particular covers my right armpit, and that felt like a DEEP sting but it went numb after several minutes.

Its weird that it takes people years to admit that yes it did hurt to get a tattoo. All so tough. Its another one of those admissions of the truth that no one is interested in enough to argue about.

on the lower back, the ankel bone, or anywhere on a bone or thin skin, yes.
if you have crappy tolerance to pain, yes.
if you're high or drunk, yes.

if you do it on muscle, fat, where you're more thick skinned, no.

it is NOT like a bee sting or a shot, no matter what anyone tells you. (i'm petrified of bees AND needles and i was FINE) if you are afraid of needles, dont worry about it. its not an injection. you dont see one long needle and it never penetrates you deep enough for the equal sensations of a shot.

it's irritating and it'll BOTHER you, but not really hurt (again, depending where u get it). afterwards, it will feel like it was badly sunburned. always.

it DOES hurt if they have a big thick area they need to fill in. outlines are practically painless. bigger fill ins are a ouchy. also, color (from wat i've seen & heard from other people becuz mine is all black and idk) seems to hurt more. i dont understand how but i've seen people getting colors cry or pass out, whereas i just made an ouchy face.

sometimes you'll bleed. its no big deal. its worse for when your toes bleed during a pedicure becuz they are not supposed to. tattoos can bleed - its no big deal. you'll be fine, as long as you're in a sterile, safe environment.

Yes, but different areas hurt more or less. Bony areas like the ankle or hip hurt really bad as well as anything near or on the spine. Any tat hurts at first, then starts burning, then you go kinda numb in the area. Oh, and I know the butt is fatty, but it still hurts really bad. It's really sensitive for some reason.

Yes it does. The bigger the tattoo or if you have it placed in a sensitive spot, it will hurt more
