Most fat loss approaches will advise you to eat more times per day but still hit your target number of calories per day and 1) taper your meals throughout the day so your biggest meal is your first one, and have your smallest one at night. 2) don't eat your last meal closer than 3 hours before sleep.

If you have a meal then go to bed (assuming no real physical, calorie burning activities inbetween), the cals you have just taken in aren't being used for anything, so a good portion of them will be stored as fat (plus your metabolism slows down during sleep). Waiting the couple of hours before sleep gives your body the chance to digest your food and burn up what it can.

No. Weight gain is not directly affected by the time you eat, but by how much you eat. However, do not eat too much before going to bed since you'll wake up really hungry which would cause you to overeat in the morning. It's because of the extra acid which you will produce to digest your midnight snack.

not necessarily, you are supposed to eat around 2000 calories a day, give or take depending on if your current weight, and if want to lose or gain. As long as you don't eat more, you should not gain weight no matter what time of day you eat.

Yes!!! During the day, your body expects you to eat, so your body's digestion is working. However, at night, your body shuts down many areas (such as digestion), to make repairs of the day. So, if you eat at night, you also increase your chances of getting sick because the body has to not only repair itself, but also take care of the food you ate that the body was not prepared for.

Well in a way its true, if you eat at night then your probably not going to do much afterward and will not burn the calories that you just ate, its better to eat earlier in the day while your metabolism is more higher.

Yes, it is very true, because during the day, your body consumes alot of energy and you need food so that your body could convert those food into the energy you need. But at night, you have less activities, therefore, your body would store the rest of the food (the ones not used for energy)into fat.

NO!!!
There is no difference between a calorie you ate at 10pm and one eaten at 6pm!! That's ridiculous!
What matters is HOW MUCH you eat, not WHEN you eat it!!

Yes, because you burn less calories when you're sleeping. You do more physical activity during the day, and therefore burn more calories.
