When I complete my FAFSA I get an EFC number that I have to turn into my school. I want to know how much money this is an nor have to wait to find out. Does anyone know how?

You don't actually have to turn that number into your school - if you gave your school's code on the FAFSA, they will automatically get a copy of your Student Aid Report.

The EFC is your Estimated Family Contribution, the amount the federal government estimates you should be able to contribute to financing your education. If your EFC is 1024, for example, the government believes you should be able to contribute $1,024.00 towards your education for the coming school year.
