It is. I do not posses it, but try my best to practice it.

I applies most of the time when you need to deal with life.

Merry Christmas!!!!!

It is definitely a virtue and one well worth cultivating. Not all human beings think or act as quickly as we might like, but we are not the measure of all things, are we? I am 54 years old, a mother of two grown children, a wife of 27 years, a Girl Scout Leader for eleven years, and the middle of five children. I work as a math tutor at a community college. All of these things have contributed to my patience. Life is much more rewarding when you are patient. You can be more helpful and effective, learn a lot more about people, and people tell you more about their life stories, which is always so very interesting. It's also a humbling experience when your patience gives you the opportunity to see that you might not always be right.

Patience always applies, but it is no reason for a delay in action when an obvious injustice occuring, or when helpless creatures are being hurt, or when you are threatened with physical harm. The patience that is required in these situations consists in being calm and not letting your emotions get in the way of effective action to remedy intolerable situations. Bad situations are not always corrected in the way we might like or understand, but progress can be made even if it's in a different way than we might have planned.

Yes it is a virtue and it's one I clearly lack. I want everything done yesterday and everyone moves way too slow for my tastes. Oh I am miserable. I don't know when it does not apply because every time I am at my wits end I always think of how patient the Lord had to be with me and I try again to be patient. It is a virtue you have to practice to make it stronger and that's the trouble as far as I am concerned. I think it was something like this that St. Paul complained about as far as something being a thorn in his side, but Jesus said that his grace was sufficient for him so I guess that just means he had to work on it.

i do believe patience is a virtue. And yes, i do possess it. Some pl are always in a rush, i dont nderstand why sometimes. If your late, its your fault. dont expect everyone to run at your speedWaiting a few extra minutes will not kill them. Im a cahsier and sometimes i have to deal with some pretty impatient ppl. I mean if they are in such a rush, then come to the store ealier, or dont come at all, or whatever...Now i dont mean the person should have an excessive amount of time, but a couple of minutes...geez, i tell you....lol

I personally think pateince always applies. Even when i deal with ppl who are just unsderstanding what im saying and thus become rude, i keep calm becuase, as a former psychology student i know that some ppl will never be happy and are ultimatly not worth your stress. so yeah thats my two cents luv,

peace and love-chai

edit for MArcella and the other chica above me, you all said it right girls...you dont need to let rude and impatient, but also dont be "too" patient to where you let ppl walk over your, thats just called not standing up for yourself....

Patience is a virtue. However, that doesn't mean that you can be "overly" patient. Patience is the balance between being not patient enough and being patient for too long. You have to know the appropriate degree of patience needed for any giving situation. I recommend to you Aristotle, if you're seriously interested in this.

Patience is borne of love, and I have it, just not in the quantity I desire. Patience, like love, is always applicable.
