No it is not. A small bowl of rice has more calories than bread. Sumo wrestlers eat massive amounts of rice to become the semi-trucks they are. Rice can make you fat. Just think what would happen if you only ate pasta for each meal and then change that to rice.

I assume this is not really a question for Religion & Spirituality. It probably should go under the food category.

I would imagine if you eat enough of anything that you could gain some weight.

But if you ate just rice, you probably would not have a weight problem.

generally eating a lot of rice would make you gain weightt because its carbohydrates. but the reason why asian people are all so small and thin is not mainly because of that- its because they eat good food like fresh vegetables, seafoods, lean meats - and hardly any deep fried foods, sweets or prepackaged foods.
Thats really not the case in the U.S. , only in asian countries, every one in every race is and can be fat here- very sad actually

Nope, I once gained 25 pounds eating a bathtub full of rice. Not only was it easy, it was delicious.

yes, it is hard to get fat by eating rice, unless you eat it with lots of butter, gravy, or other fatty foods.
