that gets you so fired up? I'm not saying it's not a bad thing cuz it is, but rather it's just a word. I can't think of anything a guy can be called that would fire us up that much.

The context people use it in has given it a negative connotation. If someone calls a girl a c***, she's going to get fired up, because it's a degrading thing to call a girl (implies she's a sex object).

Originally this word was anatomical reference to female sexual parts. But as most words tend to do the reference to this word soon became slang and even changed to reference (such as in Australian English) to mean roughly, "despicable man."
So knowing that the slang reference has changed and that the "c" word can also be used as a derogatory slang word it's easy to see that women would not find it appealing, flattering or erotic in anyway!
Yet on the question of why many women in particular may be offended, there may be several causes. The first is that the phonetic sound of the word has a hard "k" sound which has a strong and offensive sound such as the "f" word.
The other is that generally the word is used negatively when talking of female sexual parts or even as an insult. Therefore it's hard for women to accept this word readily.
I would suggest to refrain from using the "c" word. It can create a very bad stereotypical image of a vulgar man if he uses it. Think of it in terms of females. It's as if you are calling their most private possessions something vulgar or undesirable or even dirty which can make many women ashamed and angered.

thats the point there is nothing you can call a guy that will piss him off as much as it would if you called a woman the C word. My current boyfriend...stupid me for staying...has called me a sl*t and a c*nt. now him calling me a sl*t pissed me off because the only dick i have evn scene the past 4 years was his... so f*ck him for being so stupid plus i know that im not a sl*t. but when he called me a c*nt i wanted to put his face thru the pavement. i dont even know what it means...i know what it is suppose to be but not sure what the derogatory meaning is. if you find a word that hurts men as much let me know....lol

Because it is a nasty vile word. We are sensitive to these things. You should know that by now. Any guy should. It's like calling a gay person the "f" word or a African person the "n" word. It's vile and it's not nice.

i c word it great! better than the b word for sure.. maybe if a woman wernet a c word than it wouldnt hurt so bad? i say keep using it, it can only become mainstreem after a while and then what do you have to lose ;-)
