I have dark drown hair, fair skin and brown eyes?
I want to dye my hair, because I really need a change for my 18th birthday? Should I go blonde, platinum blonde, redhead or a funky color?

Thx 4 your answers!!!!

ask your stylist to show you a color wheel, and hold it up to your face to decide! Or, go to a local beauty supply store and hold the color samples up to your face there too.. sometimes they have wigs you can try on too, just to get an idea... that way, you can see it before you do it, and you will truly know. Blonde is really hard to maintain if you have dark hair naturally.. maybe try some highlights first and a lighter color to ease your way in?

Before I would do anything drastic like blond or platinum blond, go to a wig shop and try one on. Some people just don't look good with blond hair. You might want to go with highlights, just because it's a definite change, but if you decide you don't like it, it's easy to fix. Also from there if you really like them, you can put more and more in little by little and get used to the blond instead of shocking yourself all at once. And I don't know about doing a funky color unless you already have a job that would be ok with it. Plus, it would be harder and more expensive to fix if it screwed up. Have you thought about going curly if you're already straight, or something like that? Whatever you do, go to a professional. At least if they screw it up, they have to fix it. And they have stuff that isn't as harsh on your hair as OTC hair stuff. Good Luck with all this. And if all else fails, you could get a computer program where you could upload a picture of you and try different colors on it. Oh wait, here's a site that I use sometimes! clairol.com then go to the try it on studio. Maybe this will help. Good Luck!

hey, i was in the same situation as you a few months ago. I decided i wanted to dye my hair so i went to my salon and got it a little darker. it ended up looking red and i didn't like that at all. I went back to my hair dresser and we looked through some colours. I knew i wanted to have DARK brown hair, so she showed me some options. After looking at all of the choices, my hair dresser helped me decide to go to a colour almost black. Yes, i said black, but my hair dresser did mix in some lighter shades of brown so i wouldn't look completely washed out. I went out that night and got some great compliments, and i have been getting compliments on how great my hair looks on me ever since. I think you should try it .. Find an almost black colour, not completely black, but very dark brown. then mix a bit of highlighting colour so you don't look washed out. by the way, i have fair skin also, and this colour still looks great. I would not recommend you trying this on your own however, even though salons are expensive, its worth it, because you never know what colour you'll end up with from out of a box. Trust me, you will get a lot of attention.

Why not try blonde hilites as well as red copper hilites the two colors blend with brown hair and look great when done. A qualified hairstylist should be able to do that with ease. Hair length is also a consideration. So see a stylist

I even have dark brown thick hair certainly. while it fairly is dark brown it seems healthful, impressive, and looks like I even have much less hair & thinner. Thats basically an phantasm, style of like once you placed on black outfits, you look thinner. as quickly as I get fairly blonde highlights throughout, it seems fairly thick, broken, and looks like I actually have a ton of hair and you're able to see each layer and perspective. a million.) dark brown skinny hair doesnt look undesirable. 2.) dark hair wont fairly make your hair look thicker in case you have skinny hair to start with. There are alot of things accessible to make your hair look extra volumized alongside with shampoos. additionally confirm you're taking a nutrition normally happening and eat suited food. From my woman point of view, the combination you already have, I mean, the way you describe yourself is perfect!!!
May be you can try some highlights but not too much of them. Instead of change your hair colour why don`t you change your hair cut?
