i would say arkansas because the actual crime itself, the bullet going through the man was in arkansas, though i believe i have heard that within like 500 yards of a border either side can take it, and then it is up to the da's of the 2 states to decide which one wants to take the case

Since it is a Federal crime. You will stand trial in a Federal Court...Where you will be convicted and sent to Federal Pen...
(Federal Juries are MUCH smarter than local juries) In said FedPen you will do 85% minumum of HARD time......enjoy.

It would be a Federal crime, you crossed State lines. Look for the nearest Federal Courthouse.
