I was seeing a counselor for this when i was 13. It's no joke. If that doc don't take you seriously, you need to find another THAT WILL. I had attempted suicide twice very seriously by the time I was your age & I sit here still contemplating it tonight. There seems to be no "break" from it. Please try to help yourself. You're right. THere may not be a tomorrow. EDIT: I want to be hospitalized for this. I am going to wait until after the holidays though. Best wishes.

Some people can be rude but that doesn't lessen what you are experiencing. It would be a good idea to see a doctor and discuss the things you just discussed here. You may be a bit OCD or you could have a generalized anxiety disorder, depression or whatever. I would recommend seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist to determine whether you need medication or if some therapy might help.
I wouldn't see your GP because he sounds like a jerk. Even if he thought your mother was being a hypochondriac, he should not have treated her that way. If you already have a low self esteem you don't need someone that is a professional being sarcastic with you. If he was sarcastic to your mom he will likely be the same to you.
Take care, get help, drama queen or not, it doesn't matter. If what is going on with you is bugging you to a degree that it is really affecting your quality of life, go to someone that can help you.
Another thing to think about is that if you have some things to do that are maybe related to an area of interest that you might want to study, you might want to think of doing some volunteer work in that area.
Like if you wanted to be a Vet, you could volunteer at the Zoo or at a shelter or animal clinic.
It can be inspiring and help keep your mind off of all the things that seem bad to do things which make you feel good and are working towards some goal.

I say that there is a reason for everything. They are reasons that you feel like this and this will relate back to when you where a kid. You either faced difficult things during your childhood which made you think the way u are thinking. I think that if you try to look at life in a positive way, even though its hard, it'll make you feel better. We live our lives once and I think we should make the most out of it. I think mediation really helps, and maybe trying to find out what the REAL problem is. Anyway, to answer the question what you should tell your doctor, maybe you should tell him that you are think about death a lot, and believe me, in the US, they are very sensitive about death, and that will really make her/him listen. I hope it all works out!!! PS..thats not being a drama queen.

Hey there.
Seriously, you are at an age when everything really sucks. When I was 18 my mom sent me to psycologists to figure out why I was such a "Drama Queen."
It's just personality differences and hormomes as well. Also, things really are dramatic to us.
There is so much to live for and eventually you will meet a man who will treat you properly. I went through so many jerks.....and was soooo depressed all of the time. Eventually I figured out that I was going to focus on ME and no one else for a while and that is when I figured out I DO have a purpose and life IS worth living even though so many people act like there is not.
You will find your purpose and a good man when you are not looking.

Forget what they think, it is what you think that is important. If you feel you are depressed, you need to get some help. You did not say you are suicidal so that is good.
You mentioned that men have treated you badly. I suggest you take a good look at how you allowed them to do this and then take your power back and not let that happen again.
Counseling, talk therapy, is very helpful. You can explore why you are feeling this way, how to combat it and how to build up your self-esteem. I also suggest you find something important to do with your life, a goal, to focus on.
Take control of becoming a better you today. Good luck.

I don't know if I can help you but I have the same problem. I told my doctor I had problems and she just laughed at me. Talk about disscouraging huh? You know yourself way better than anyone else. If you truly believe something is wrong then strictly tell your doc. just that. Doctors don't take me seriosly till something really bad happens (and all she did was call the police on my parents). But my point is don't let it get worse make your doctor listen.
peace. good luck :)

Imagine what would happen if you decided to stop thinking about your funeral and stopped thinking about how crappy your life is.. and you replaced those thoughts with something positive. I have a feeling most, if not all, of your depression would go away.
As for those on-line tests-- those are generally produced by the drug makers so you'll "talk to your doctor" about purchasing their drug.

well the snout of one so pretty as this story should be answered by yet my metaphors and you can reply for an answer to it.
the sick vile worm crawls in and out of its owner and breaths what it breaths and eats what it eats, the opera of such as this theatre advertises is not to be trembled but to take in as another fine showing of the clown. oh sweet dirt! do not wrong yourself into this skit you think you are right for. if wounds are splattered on the walls by stars and shadows than maybe insanity is your neighbor. i say, and sorry but reality check.
mind over matter, believe what is real and you will learn

You should just say it as it is. say hey, i am having some life problems, and it is hard. and maybe somoen might say awww! or I am sorry. but maybe somoen would say well, maybe i can help in a way. everyone is differnt. if they are just saying somethingto make them feel bad for you, then that isn't someone who you can trust. when you feel like this person is willing to help you in any way that accept it.
