There should be a cord that has two jacks, they look like jacks from a pair of headphones, hook one of the jacks into your surround system and one of them into your ipods headphone input.

it all depends on your reciever..... if you have a cheezy one then hook it up with a (y) connection..... which is 3.5 mm to 2 rca cables and you can hook it to the front of the reciver.... or if you have a denon you can by a ipod dock .... which with the denon you can use your remote for the ipod..... also there are other ipod docks but they come with a remote... so you can add another remote to your vast collection..... you can get all these things at best buy

3.5mm mini-jack male to RCA (red/white) male adapter or cable. You can pick it up at a local Radio Shack.
