Well, im a highschool student, and have organized a student protest march in D.C. Now, in order to do this, we kind of, you know need money. Does anyone have any ideas about buisnesses that would be able to contribute to our cause?

We actually really want a raffle item...like an iPod or something to raffle off. Does anyone have any connections with buisnesses/coorporations/people that would like to donate something to us for free to raffle off?

Any suggestions would be good too...THANKS!!

We're protesting the lack of action by the US government against the sudanese governments corrupt activities in darfur...our alternative is to donate our proceeds to the food crisis there.

First, what IS your cause? What are you protesting? What are suggesting as an alternative to the issue you are protesting? What is your follow-up plan?

I commedn your spirit and enthusiasm. I don't know how much good protesting is going to do- better is raise awareness and work for solutions. If you are protesting a lack of action, what specific action do you want to see? Have you considered aligning your cause with groups actively seeking to improve human rights and socioeconomic conditions in the Darfur region? My advice is, "don't go it alone- seek to combine efforts with someone else who has influence"

I am an artist/ jeweler: contact me; I may be able to donate a few items (total value about $120 base price for a silent auction). I would love to hear more about your ideas.
