You can make "haystacks". You melt about a cup of chocolate chips (or caramel or vanilla chips etc.) and about a tablespoon of shortening in the microwave. Then you dunk in a small handful of chow mein noodles so they are covered with yummy chocolate goo. Let each small stack harden at room temperature on a sheet of wax paper.
enjoy :)

Ok, Julie, I don't have any recipes for no bakes, that take oatmeal. But you might be right about the oatmeal. Here's a recipe for you to try ( I used to joke that these cookies were from the moon.)-MOON BALLS:
1 cup dry milk powder (It's usally non fat, so why bother saying it?) 1/2 cu hony
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup curshed granola (fine crushed)
toasted falked coconut
Mix the dry milk, the honey and peanut butter together until blended. Chill. Form the dough into ball and goll in the granola. Or you can blend the granola into the balls, and roll in toasted coconut. Store in the refrigerator.

No-Bake Oatmeal Bar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons wheat germ
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup flake coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup sesame seeds
Here is a recipe for no bake cookies. It does say nuts...but skip them and add more seeds if you want. Some kids with peanut allergies also have other nut allergies.
Melt the butter in a medium sized sauce pot. Add the brown sugar and orange juice and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat and add the wheat germ, oats, coconut, nuts and sesame seeds and mix well. Spread the mixture into a 9" square glass baking dish and refrigerate until hard. Cut into squares and eat!
