Longer at a steady rate, if you want to get in shape.

I think longer at a steady rate. Quick and high impact could cause serious damage by over exertion. Be patient.

I personally like to push my workouts to the limit, so my answer is not just quick at high impact but long at high impact lol..not to the extent of "high impact" but usually what i consider high impact is just pushing yourself above n' beyond your limits. Usually the feelings of soreness tell you FOR SURE that you know your workout has accomplished something..im feeling sore from dumbbells..but it feels great to know that i did something effective lol...As long as you dont turn to steriods and do it naturally...im down with it man lol.
