Guy I like has started showing interest. He comes up to make small talk now, he asked for my number. He couldnt remember my name and has numerous times asked me where I'm from. 3 to be exact. We are in grad school so i know he's not dumb. Why would he forget basically everything i tell him? Is this a sign that he's arrogant or self-absorbed?

It maybe a sign that there's nothing special about you! If you give him something to remember maybe he won't forget! But anyway do you expect to be the only thing on his mind? It won't happen sorry to tell ya! If you were he'd be incredibly boring!

I have people who forget who I am too...it's probably not intentional...although, asking you 3 times where you are from is a bit extreme. I wouldn't waste another breath on him. Just because he asked for your number, doesn't mean that he's in love with you & wants you to have his babies. Ya know? Because you are still in college, even if it's grad school, you still have guys who think that scoring a girl's number is cool. Has he called you? I would put him out of my head...if he came back later, then I would treat him as he has treated you....

Good luck.

this guy will deff. not be good for you because trust me, either #1 hes tryin to act like hes too good for you, not listening and stuff or #2 he really does 4get and thats not good either because then he'll start forgeting when its your birthday, or even anniversary and thats not good. you dont want a guy like taht! so kick him to the curb unless he starts showin sum improvement. and most importantly: listen to ur own instinct...if you really like him enough to waste your time with him then go for it...or you could work on him, teaching him how to listen to you and pay attention and teach him y he shouldnt be so self-centered as he sounds....maybe you should just give him a chance and maybe try and change him up a bit :)

Well for one you just answered your own question, knowing him he is arrogant and self-absorbed and might just want one thing from you. SO it's up to you if you call him or not. I would stay away and find one who is nicer and treats your right and remember's your name.

He may not really like you as much as you think he does. Most of the time if the guy likes you he makes an effort to remember details like that to impress the girl.

being in grad school doing much work could possibly mean that he has so much on his mind it's hard for him to remember, but its more possible that he is just an idiot and not worth it. There are so many guys out there more caring and important than this one, you just have to wait to find him.

Neither arrogant nor self absorbed, just distracted. show him that you are the best thing in the world and that he should be paying attention to you

I'm not here to give you a silly answer...probably he's confused or something, you have to find out if he's into other girls or trying to be. If not that means he's soo confused and you can help him out with a little smile but watch it out, this smile should give him peace to get rid of his confusion. Good Luck

Well, it could be that youre not the only girl he has been "getting to know" and keeps forgetting which one hes talking to?

Guys sometimes forget girls names because there are so many of them and it's hard to remember all of their names. What's your name again?
