The Leather is best, especially if carried against the body.

I bought a beautiful flask from the Jack Daniels website a few years ago. It's etched. I keep it filled with Jack for when I go skiing.

Back in the day, when attending Saturday football events at college, we found leather bota bags quite handy in smuggling liquor into the event under coats or shirts. Worn on your back with the strap around your neck, the bota bag is nearly undetectable.
