Actually they are not. Look at these numbers, obviously the "Foreigns Born" are illegal aliens.

Ok - a couple of things - the Foreign Born that is listed their is not referring to illegal aliens, it is referring to immigrants that are here legally - either with a green card, or ones that have become a citizen.


Illegal aliens can not get welfare as welfare is a federally funded program that is run by the state. Being a federally run program, the applicants have to show ID's and other documents that cannot be falsified because they are verified.


I forget who it was, but someone above stated that in their state their are women (pregnant) who are illegal that get welfare and medicaid. They may receive medical assistance while they are pregnant - and 2 months after the baby is born, but they do not - cannot get welfare because they can't qualify for it. They can get WIC because you don't have to provide a SS# for WIC. Also they can't get section 8 because like welfare and food stamps, it is a federally funded program.


And seriously, if you call your local department of social services or section 8 office, and ask them if illegal aliens qualify for welfare, section 8 or food stamps then you will see that the answer is no.

I think all welfare should be abolished, and I think immigration laws should be enforced. If you want money, get a job, it's really that simple. If I can hold down a job, it's not that hard to do. Other countries, such as and definitely including Mexico, need to do more to get their own citizens employed, and our states and enforcement bodies need to do more to prevent illegal immigration and deal with it successfully once it's happened rather than just throw up their hands. Our 50 states, the ones adjoining mexico, as well as Florida, need to figure out what to do to prevent illegal immigration in the future.
