The best thing to do is to go into a shop that will do custom work, and have them draw something up for you that will fit the curves of your body. That way you can tell them exactly what you want and the way that you envision your tattoo, and they can change it for you if you really like alot of things about the design, but there are some things that you don't. It is always a little weird (with a lot of eye rolling) when someone comes into the shop and hands us a picture printed off the internet and says "I want exactly this". Someone out there alrteady has that tattoo! Someone else created that design, and if it is on the internet, how many other people may think it would make a cool tattoo and are doing the same tattoo!?!?

Do a combo of the following:
Look online for koi pics
Look at tattoo mags
Talk to the tattoo artist, maybe bring pics of what you like (from 1st 2
steps), can also look thru their flash, but the artist should be able to sketch something for you fairly quickly

oh i had the cutest picture it was a pink koi fish with light blue waves and pink lotus flowers it was sooo cute i just cant find it lol
