I dealt with the same about 10 yrs ago and went through numerous test!! My doc at a last attempt checked my T-Factor (blood work) and Factor-8 and discovered that I had VonWhillabrauns disease which is a clotting disorder. I bruised all over my legs and arms without explaination. All the other answers are good too for I was checked for those things too, but if nothing shows up in your blood work for those bring VonWhillabrauns up to your doc. It is rare but worth a check. Good Luck!

Bruising may be a sign of VItamin C deficiency. Take a good high potency multilple vitamin with minerals daily, and vitamin C 500 mg with bioflavinoids 3 times a day til bruising stops. If it persists in spite of this regimen for more than a week get thee to a physician and have your blood checked.

It could be that you have a vitamin deficency, or have a bleeding problem such as hemophillia or Factor V leiden. Possibly, you thrash about in bed when you are sleeping. Also, have you been taking a lot of aspirin lately? Aspirin thins out the blood and causes easy bruising. I would definitely consult your doctor, and request a full chem panel workup (blood tests) to get to the root of the problem.

Check your blood sugar, you might have diabetes and not even know it. Black bruising especially on your legs is typical of diabetes. You will need a blood test done at a lab to know for sure, but your best bet is to see a doctor first, he will order the test for you........KECK

You should definitely go see a Doctor. It may be something simple, but then again it may not, and if that is the case the sooner you find something out the better you will be in the long run.

What other symptoms do you have? I have heard there is a health issue associated with bruising, I think it is diabetes. I suggest you get checked.
