Question

WHY is it that A man can be overweight and nobody thinks much about it...but if a woman is fat....everybody has to laugh and stare and make fun of them.My friend is a pretty sweet girl who is also overweight.I have seen how people have treated he..especially men...does it make you feel good to hurt someones feelings and feel you have to laugh at another person?Women are just as bad.Why do you do this????????????Try putting yourself in their place and try to understand,that person still has a heart and feeling too.

people think the only way to feel better is to make someone else feel worse than they do. and ur rite they should place themsevles in that posstion. i think it's totally sad b.c. they only take into account their feelings. this is why there are loners in the world. its our fault that people feel this way and we should take account for our actions. i almost slapped a guy for making fun of my overweight friend. those who make fun of others like that are shallow and conceeted. and they thinks it's cool which totally sux. i never feel sorry for people like the ones that make fun of others only pity b.c. it takes someone really pathetic to do something so cruel.

Beyond all the good advice others have posted, my best friend is a bit chubby and her boyfriend loves her for it. I'm not talking about one of those Jerry Springer overweight lovers, but he likes women who feel confident in a plus size. It's gonna hurt for awhile, but eventually, people get mature and they'll understand that "fat" is just a label. Confidence is key.

People laugh at ALL overweight people, don't ask why, we just do, and I wouldn't be surprised if you have once or twice,
im not just talking about seein a fat guy and pointing and laughing, because thats rude, I mean if he/she is doing something stupid.
It's not just women by the way, the fat GUYS get made fun of just as much, look at chris farley, john candy, kevin james (king of queens)

It doesn't feel good to sit there to laugh and critizise someones appearance and weight because that person wouldn't like it happening back at them!! I have always been overweight and I have been called plenty of names through school and it wasn't nice!! I always say to myself what goes around comes around and it will hit them back twice as worse!!!!!!!! Those types of people of no consideration, feelings or respect for themselves and other people and they do it for a little bit of excitement in their lives!! One things for sure that everyone is different on the outside but what is in the inside is the most that matters and is important!!

This is upsetting and unfair. But men get made fun of as well. But woman do have a standard to live up to in society as well dressed and beautiful. and this isn't right. that is why more people make fun of over weight girls. If you think about it girls work Very hard on there image. It doesn't make sense. Just stick up for your friend and be there for her. that's wonderful just in its self.
