Your normal. My anxiety came with greatly increased heart beat, feeling that I was being choked by an invisible hand, pressure, skin felt very tight to my skin, things felt surreal, I could not sleep, and had great anger. I don't recomend medication because everyone gets anxiety. We all have the self ability to become better. Mine was caused by a traumatic incident. When you talk about it, it goes away. I had social anxiety. There is nothing wrong with you.

Symptoms of anxiety

The physical symptoms of anxiety are caused by the brain sending messages to parts of the body to prepare for the "fight or flight" response. The heart, lungs and other parts of the body work faster. The brain also releases stress hormones, including adrenaline. The following symptoms can occur as a result:

* abdominal discomfort
* diarrhoea
* dry mouth
* rapid heartbeat or palpitations
* tightness or pain in chest
* shortness of breath
* dizziness
* frequent urination
* difficulty swallowing

Psychological symptoms can include:

* insomnia
* irritability or anger
* inability to concentrate
* fear of madness
* feeling unreal and not in control of your actions (depersonalisation)

It's not an anxiety attack persay but it does sound like you have some anxiety problems and could have the potential for anxiety attacks. The attacks are more of hyperventilating, crying and possibly screaming and you're not able to calm yourself down. I would talk to your dr about it just because I have dealt with the same thing and it has caused me to have IBS. Talk to your dr and they can give you more helpful info regarding GAD. Good luck and God Bless!

No, I don't think so. An anxiety attack is a feeling of being overwhelmed, can't breath, feeling that you are dying--almost more than you can stand. It doesn't have anything to do with being happy or happiness, usually just the opposite.

An anxiety attack is a panicked feeling, your heart beats fast, you get warm/sweaty,you're nervous, upset-- it's a generalized feeling of anxiousness. I don't think that that is what you are experiencing.
