Ever since Bush and his cohorts stated that if you are not for us, you are against - pick whatever particular pitch he espoused - then those Americans who disagreed with such policies were for the enemy, totally serving to polarize America into different black and white views. There are usually contrasting arguments and well though out arguments for each position if you choose to listen and don't have to be told what to believe.

You are the one making wrong assumptions...
1. Not all factory owners are Republican
2. Republicans, as a rule, *do not* want illegal immigration
If you want a reason why it *could* be the Democrats that want the illegals.... Simple... they need a new underclass to increase their voter base.
I think that at the grass roots level you will find that a majority of people, both Republican *and* Democrats don't want an uncontrolled influx of people into this country.

Because they are. They will not vote for cracking down on illegals. They talk it, but the results are the opposite.
The problem with the Republican party is we have too many fake Republicans in office.
Real Republicans, called conservatives, want illegal immigration to end.

I am a Republican but I can see that this is an issue that many people both Democrat and Republican tend to let be driven by emotion rather than intellect democrats tend to let their emotions drive them but their are some democrats that use common sense and are against illegal immigration.

Well, that line is given out to manipulate people. First you make a big deal out of illegal immigration, then when people discuss the ins and outs, your say they're "soft on illegals," "pro-illegal," and the like. It's for manipulating reactors who vote. And for creating an issue so as to distract people from whatever you don't want them to know.

It's the Republican and Democratic POLITICIANS who won't do anything about illegal immigration. Most of the average US citizens...Democrat or Republican...want 'em all rounded up and put on the next donkey back to Mexico.

For the same reason that everyone assumes that Republicans are anti-gay marriage.
The party puts forward a general belief, and the ignorant masses follow. If you talk to most people, they believe whatever the cool belief was in their political party, even if it's outdated. Democrats generally go against restrictions on illegal immigration, even in Congress.

they tend to be liberal and want socialism vs, democracy / capitolism. If you take from the rich to give to the poor your name is Robin Hood and you make it easy for those who have not produced yet for themselves.
