I'm thinking you mean How do you- bring the water up to where you see movement from heat, then pour the rice (1/4 rice to 3/4 water) into the saucepan. Let it heat until it just begins to boil and lower the heat so it doesn't boil over. I use a teaspoon to dip out a few grains while it cooks to see if its done. Cool them down and see if they're soft inside. When it looks like broken rice, its definetly done.

For Eg. 1 cup brown rice to 3 cups of water, bring water to boil in a pot, add rice and pinch of salt, keep water on the boil for 20 mins for brown rice, it takes longer to cook than white, Drain, refresh with hot water if you like, and serve

Follow the directions on the box.

I don't know what kind of rice you have. If you don't have a box, cook in water or chicken broth (4 times the amount of the rice) on low heat for an hour.

One part rice, 3 parts water. Add salt, pepper, onion whatever. I sometimes add a little bouillon. Stir bring to a boil. Stir put lid and turn down heat to low. ( Not minimum maybe on 1) Cook for 20mins. Sometimes I just add a lot of water and boil on med-high
for 10-15mins. Mind you, you have to strain the water out.
