Richard Feynman...not only was he an incredible physicist...but he played the bongos and was a big fan of Tuvan throat singing....That's awesome.

After Jesus of course, I would not think twice before giving it to Pope JP2.
He loved everyone he met as Christ did, he survived assassination twice and even forgave his assassin, he helped put an end to Communism in Eastern Europe and Russia, he visited and spread peace and good will to nearly every country in the world, he tried through his writings and speeches to unite all Christians and even the whole world, he was truly the Vicar of Christ in every sense of the word.
BTW, this is all from my own memory of the man, not cut and pasted or borrowed from anywhere, and is only a sample of the way Pope JP2 changed the world and would therefore deserve this award.
This article description from the NY Times (perhaps the most liberal newspaper in the world) says it all:
Bigger Than The Nobel
October 11, 2003, Saturday
By DAVID BROOKS (NYT); Editorial Desk
Late Edition - Final, Section A, Page 15, Column 6, 738 words
DISPLAYING ABSTRACT - David Brooks Op-Ed column discusses why Pope John Paul II has not received Nobel Peace prize despite his profound influence; suggests that committee has not given prize to Pope because he is too big and complex; compares Pope's accomplishments to those of award recipient Shirin Ebadi, saying that while Ebadi has done important work for human rights, Pope has done most to place democracy and freedom as highest human goals.

My two kids. I marvel every day at the process through which a sperm and an egg turn into a complex, beautiful person. I need no other reason to exist than to watch this incredible drama unfold.
PS - I gave my 5 year old son a 10 minute time-out today for spitting on me. He said it was my fault because I put grass in his mouth while playing soccer.

*taps chin* if I could give out an award for total awesomeness I would make copies of it, and I would give it to the troops in Iraq becuase they are over there doing what their idiot Commander and Chief wants, when they could be in Canada - I'd be in Canada. And that's awesome ( I would with hold the award from those who 1) kill the innocent when they are no threat 2) taunt children with food and WATER - anyone else seen that video? It's sick! Go to YouTube check it out.)

My great grandmother. She just recently passed away, but she is still the most amazing person I have ever known. She loved more than most people I have ever met all put together. She always put her family first, and was there to help ANYONE who needed her. She was a beautiful, strong woman, and I hope that if there is a heaven, that she is there, finally getting the peace and rest she deserved, but never got.

One to each of my children. To my oldest because of the love she has shown to her sister who has a rare genetic difference, which causes her to behave autistic. And to my youngest because she has taught us what love is really all about, though she cannot speak with words, she has spoken volumes into my life. She is not attached to things, but to those who have poured into her their love and time. She enjoys the simple things, rain on her face, the wind flowing threw her hair,MUSIC,dancing, and just a hug. Both of my children get the prize, but to me they are MY PRIZE,this side of heaven.Be blessed and loved

Sorry to give such a generic answer but I'd give it to Christ, and I'm not even religious. I think the way he lived his life speaks for itself; you don't even have to believe in the supernatural stuff and the miracles in order to appreciate and admire that. His teachings, regardless of whether or not you're a Christian, were very valuable. I really think it's a shame that people like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell use Christ's message to justify such hatred and intolerance in today's world.
