Oh boo hoo to the coordinator. If he/she wants cookies, he/she can bring his/her own. That's crazy, getting all worked up over a cookie when there are such HUGE problems in the world. I wouldn't stress not leaving cookies, it's not like you ate them all. And if you guys always get the crap, dont' worry about it,

Next time, everyone on night shift have 1 1/2 cookies, so there will be none left for day shift. Don't forget to clean up the crumbs and ditch the plate. What Cookies? *smile*

I don't think it should be up to anyone to "save" cookies for the other employees. Open containers of food are normally eaten on a first-come, first-served basis. If the coordinator was going to be mad at someone, it should be at the folks in administration for not being considerate enough to bring a plate for each shift during shift hours.

Poor wittle fewwa didn't get a cookie. Aw, isn't that sad???
The coordinator should have planned better. It's his own poor administration skills, and of course he's going to take it out on everyone else instead of accepting that he made a mistake.
EVERYONE with a brain knows you don't leave something out like that and not expect people to eat it. If he wanted to save some of them, then he should have held one of the trays back where no one else would find it, or put a note on it that said "for morning shift" so people wouldn't bother it. It's not rocket science, but apparently he just isn't that bright.

Your problem is obvious :P You have at most 42 people in your day/night shift...each person can consume say 3-4 cookies each..(I've seen people down a half dozen but we won't get into that:P)...ok...say if each person wanted to munch 4 ginger snaps during their shift....that would add up to 164 cookies total...you only had 21 cookies available for both shifts...here's your solution:
Go to the store now and gather the ingredients for and start baking 164 cookies using this accurate 164 cookie recipe:
INGREDIENTS
13-2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons and 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons and 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2-1/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg
2-1/4 teaspoons ground cloves
2-1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2-1/4 cups shortening, melted and cooled slightly
2-1/4 cups molasses
2-1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup and 2 tablespoons water
2-1/4 egg
2-1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
Sift together the flour, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon; set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together the shortening, molasses, brown sugar, water, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients, until they are completely absorbed. Divide dough into 3 pieces, pat down to 1 1/2 inch thickness, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1 inch apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. When the cookies are done, they will look dry, but still be soft to the touch. Remove from the baking sheet to cool on wire racks. When cool, the cookies can be frosted with the icing of your choice.

I would have ate the three cookies so there weren't any left. Next time you guys get the left overs and there is not enough email him and complain and make sure he knows that HE didn't leave enough. And make a big hoop and holler about it, maybe he will realize what an a s s he was being.

the first shift always gets more perks & treats, i think it`s the fault of the people in administration- if it were just 3 cookies next time- just throw them away, or take em home. third shift always gets the bum treatment, because- you are "forgotten".eat em all next time!
