my bf and i have been going out for about 2 months. we r still n school. he is in the school band. he asked me if i "wanted to go to his band concert". (like brass instuments band)
i dunno if he means that he is taking me or i am supposed to go just by myself. well, the only way i can go is if his parents take me, due to my moms scheduel.
how can i ask what he meant w/o assuming anything?

Since he's in the band, he probably wants you to go by yourself (or with his parents). There are a ton of things going on behind stage pre-concert, and if you went with him, chances are you would be in the way & underfoot, and he couldn't pay attention to you anyway. You could ask him if he will ask his parents if it's ok for you to hitch a ride with them....if he means anything other than that...he'll tell you then

Hmm i see, tough one... Well think of a question you could ask him to get his mind going about it. For instance.. you could say.. "Umm what time is your concert?" Then he'll tell you and either say something, "Its at sevena nd i'll pick you up around 6:30" or "Its at seven, but try to be early, so you can get a good seat" If he says the first one then you know he's picking you up. If he says the second one then you know he's expecting you to have a ride. OR since you two are dating you could just come right and say "Baby are you picking me up for comcert, or do i need to get a ride?"

Go up to him and ask him "Is it okay if your parents were to take me to the band concert, because my Mom can't." And of course your going by yourself, he's busy playing the instrument. Just talk to his parents during the concert, if you find yourself bored. Hope that helps!

Ask him if he is going to be playing in it, or ask what piece he is going to be playing. But i would think that he is going to be playing IN the concert. And i think he would really like it if you did go with his parents. I think it would mean a lot to him. Good Luck, i hope you figure it out.

Tell your boyfriend that you are not able to participate bcuz of ur mom's schedule or u don't have a ride.. then say i really want to go and see you play ur instrument.... he will probably tell you he really wants u to go. he then will tell you that he will give u a ride.....problem solved.

P.S. it doesn't hurt if you at least ask him for a ride or just admit to him that you're not able to go b-cuz you don't have a ride.... just go with ur insticts and tell him straight out....he'll still probably lie you....so give it a try.....

you should do the whole "i really want to go but dont have a ride..." thing and then see what he says he should say well i could pick you up on my way there. and if he doesnt then it obviously wasnt that improtant to him if you could make it or not.

btw...it never hurt anyone just so ask him if he could give yo a ride there...that would show him you do care and u want to go.

He's your boyfriend so surely it should be easy enough to just ask him. If you told him you had no way of getting there and asked if you could go with him im sure he would understand

If he is your boyfriend just be honest and ask if he was inviting you to go with him. Let him know that your Mom is unable to take you. If he responds with anything less than courtesy, he's not very nice.
Ciao!
