Will a 12000 BTU burner bring 6 gallons of water to a rolling boil in a stainless steel 10 gal stockpot?

Yes it will. Not super fast though. You are better off with a higher BTU burner if you have the option. Like 48,000 or 64,000. But, what you referenced will work....if you don't watch the pot!
