i read this really lame riddle out of a riddle book today:
why is a watch like a thing-a-ma-bob?
Answer : because it's a watch-a-ma-call-it!....
i started laughing soo hard after that! lol haha....

Actually, its kind of cute!
When I was little, in the late 70's, I had this riddle book called "The Hamburger Book," with riddles all about hamburgers. One of the riddles was really stupid and went like this:
Q: "Why does Farrah Fawcett-Majors like hamburgers?"
A: "We don't know; we just wanted to mention her name here."
Then they showed a drawing of Farrah eating a hamburger.
I just mentioned my joke because it is another lame joke like yours, but cute!

it's up there with the other famous watch jokes I can think of:
"why did the boy throw the watch out the window?"
A: so he could see time fly!!!!
"What kind of dog tells the best time?"
A: A watch dog!
