there is nothing illegal about it.
i am 32, and although i find most 19 yr olds attractive, but the attitudes, values, wants/needs, philosphies, etc.. there just seems to be too much of a difference there..
nothing wrong with dating.. you don't have to make a life-time commitment to this guy right away.. give him a chance and see if you can get along.

I think it is perfectly alright for you to date him. I was 18 when I met my husband and he was 32. We have been married now for 26 years. Good luck, just make sure he's not married!
