Clearly the gun...the gun conquered North and South America, Africa and where the European guns went the bible followed. There is a lot of wisdom within the bible...it's just that the people spreading the bible often don't understand what is in it....still true today...watch any evangelical preacher on tv...most of them are complete hypocrites.

Living according to the example set by Jesus has spread the Lord's word best. Of course those who live by example had to be familiar with the Bible in order to follow that example. Therefor God's word is the most important in spreading the Lord's word.
Spreading anything by the gun just makes people hate you. They may "go-along" out of fear but they'll always be looking for an opportunity to get away.

The Bible because it is the Holy Inspired word of God. The bible is Jesus before He was made flesh and therefore is holy and far more powerful than the gun. The Bible is life-giving and alive. It breads life and plants everlasting seeds.

The Bible is where we get the message.
The gun is what our enemies use to kill us when they don't like what we have to say.
Incidentally, when's the last time a Christian threatened you with a gun?
