Isn't a disgrace that the CIS semi-final is being played at Fir Park. As a player, you dream of playing at the national stadium, but this opportunity is being taken away from them by "know-it-all " bigwigs at the SFA who deem it "not financial feasable" to play the tie at Hampden

Yeah Dicko..I agree with you for a change.
It definately should be played at Hampden, regardless of the attendance...I hope Killie win the Cup..
Sluttt would be in her glory...

I stay about 10 minutes from Hampden park.it was great last season when all the Gretna fans came for the day..Splendid Glasgow hospitality...All welcome apart from the Sheep.

As a fan of Killie FC, I must admit that I can see sense in the tie being played in Motherwell. Killie's average home gate is around 6000, and I daresay that Falkirk's is the same.

That said, I was at the Scottish Cup Final in 1997 between Killie and Falkirk and both sets of fans FILLED Ibrox Stadium because Hampden was being rebuilt.

While I can understand the question, surely the answer must lie in the fact that it is, after all NOT the final tie, but a semi final match.

Fir park's a nice park? And probably a better atmosphere than hampden. It's not like they would fill Hampden, not even with all the children eating crisps and drinking juice, and all the glory hunters that these games attract.

I hope the Bairns get humped, by the way. Being more of an Alloa Athletic man, myself.

im a falkirk fan and totally disagree with you bud. the semi being played at the same venue as the final is just wrong. it should b at ibrox or parkhead tho.the final should b the only game played at hampden.

With the current home gates at these clubs they would probably struggle to sell their allocations of tickets as both probably view the opposition as not that attractive. It is a shame but it could be used as an incentive to the players to go out and earn the chance to fulfil the dream. For the record I hope Kilmarnock win the cup but I fear Hibs are the form team still in it.

David4the... The other semi-final with the eventual winners (St Johnstone) is being played at Tynecastle. By the way, our support may be small, but we are loyal!!!

maybe if your so called fans actually went to the games instead of (staying at home and supporting the old firm) then it would get played at hampden

yeah sure i can see 50,000 turning up for this game, lucky if they get 10,000 just think 10,000 in the national stadium that would look embarrassing to the neural fan who will watch this game outside scotland, why waste the grass at hampden for this game
