I believe color blindness is a result of two recessive genes (however it's been some time since I've taken genetics class). So... a mother could be a heterozygous carrier, and so could a father, meaning that they have a 50/50 chance of having a color blind child. So....yes both parents could be regular vision, or one could have color blindness, but they could still have children who do not have color blindness.

the father would be colorblind and the mother could be colorblind or just be the carrier for it. therefore they can have both a normal brother and a normal sister. the gene for colorblindness is carried on the X chromosome so it is easier for the males to inherit it since if the mother is a carrier then have a 50 percent chance of developing it and the gilr can have a 50 percent chance of being a carrier but if the dad would have to be colorblind and the mom a carrier if the girl is going to have chance to be colorblind. hope this makes al ittle bit of sense. good luck!

I believe it is rare for a female to be color blind. Females are the carrier of the gene. I have 4 kids--2&2-- my oldest son is colorblind my youngest is not. My girls are not. My husband (not the father of my kids) Is extremely color blind, the only one out of 3 boys and 1 girl. So I guess the answers to your ? is yes, yes, yes

well yes depends on thier pheotypic and genotypic ratio but if one parent if the mom carries the colour blind traits then it is likely THAT ALL the boys will be colour blind,if father then it will b only be passed on to the boy VERY rarely is the mother colour blind because her mother and father both need to be colour blind for that

Yes to all of the above. Just as they can have different hair color, different eye colors. ect. We are not all exactly alike even though we all came from the same gene pool.
