which is better, a bb gun or a paintball gun and why?

Well, that depends. How is it going to be used? If it is all for fun, a paintball gun. If you want to send a warning to someone, or just put a buzz up their butt, then the bb gun. Personally, I like the paintball gun. It is fun playing sniper.

A bb gun is better. It's for shooting at targets, beer bottles, etc. A paintball gun is a nasty, painful thing for shooting at people.

depends. i'll give pros and cons about each:
PAINTBALL GUN: pros:

-they do not hurt as much when you r wearing full protective gear. shins hurt a lot, too.
-they can be much cheaper than a good bb or airsoft gun.
-easier to shoot with paintball guns triggers called 'walkers'. u can shoot with ur index and middle fingers in a fingerperson-walking motion, easy!

cons:
-they can be hard to cock and the paintballs r slippery
-paint goes everywhere, it can stain clothes

AIRSOFT GUNS: pros:
-can be cheaper than Spyder paintball guns
-easier to cock than a paintball gun
-pellets r easier to hold and load
-pellets come in a larger quantity
-the guns come in machine guns, snipers, and pistol forms

cons:
-sometimes with cheap guns the pellets change direction due to the wind
-u cannot load them when wet or muddy, sandy, or dirty
-hurt like sh*t!
-there isnt protective gear that protects ur chest, legs, etc

u can pick for which one u think suits u better
