Some have given a bad name to God. But I think the majority try to be Christ-like. No one is perfect and that is why Christ came to save mankind. We are a work in progress. If you want to know about Christianity look to Christ, then you will see perfection.

No foolish unbelievers who believe that God is somehow tarnished by the foolish actions of certain foolish Christians give God a bad name instead of realizing the truth: If God can work through those foolish Christians then he can certainly save them.

Not all Christians. But many, unfortunately, do. I think it's because those who are most vocal also seem to be the most condemning. Once again - not all Christians, but definitely some. I think that's where the saying, "Jesus, please save me from your followers" comes from.
