I think the only real difference is the type of weapons that are used. A guy with a sword can only do so much damage, where someone with dynamite....... In my opinion, it is just the weapons.

Probably not, but the life expectancy was so much less then too. And people were quicker to kill others in the name of faith. If you didn't believe what others told you to you could count on dying for it. So suicide would be redundant since you'd most likely end up dead pretty quick anyway.

If you are referring to the Christians who died for their faith, they were the victims, not the perpetrators. They did not kill themselves, nor did they take others with them. Rather they were executed by a corrupt government, often without any kind of trial or chance to denounce their belief, in cruel manners for the amusement of others.
Quite a bit different then being a suicide bomber.

In the first century Judea, believers in Christ Jesus did not seek their own deaths, let alone wanting to kill anyone else.

The only difference is which side you're on, really. (Though I don't recall any of the early martyrs taking anyone else with them, but I may be wrong. Doubtless, if they had, it would now be hailed as a triumph.)

Must I say this? The martyrs were the only victims.
