I would assume that a soul-mate could be anyone in your life, but b/c they're called soul-mates, generally people are their mates. Ya know? And, yes, I believe in soul-mates. I found mine.

I believe when you meet your true soul mate you would like to be partners....to me a soul mate is your love, your lover, your best friend, your confidante....a person who doesnt want to change you and who will accept you for who you are......a person who just loves you for the good and the "bad". A person who you respect and who respects you in return. When you find that person, you wont want to be away from each other. If your soul mate is anyone other than your husband/wife, then your husband/wife is not your true soulmate if you dont feel for him/her what you feel for someone else in your life. I believe we can love in different ways, but when you meet your true soulmate the feelings you have will overwhelm you and you will know.....he/she is the one.

It's such a lovely idea, but far too unrealistic. I think there could be a soul mate for everyone in the world and a lot of people they are compatible with and can live content with forever right around them which is what happens at least 1 out of 500 times

I believe in soul mates, I have definetly found mine-12 yrs ago. We were both married before and divorced, and neither of us were looking when we found each other. Not to mention, he heard my voice on an answering machine at my uncle's business 8 months before and he was 6 states away...and he said he was going to marry me. The first day we met, we sat on a balcony for 8 hours, overnight and talked. From that day on, we were never seperate, 8 days later we moved in together, and then we married 3 yrs later. We have been together every since. We never had to work at our relationship, we automatically clicked, we have never seperated, or never even thought about it. We were just meant to be.
If that is not a SOUL MATE, then I do not know what one is.

I think soulmates can be anyone in your life. I think they are people you've known in a life before. And I think you have more than one.

I had a soul-mate as a friend, I don't think it would have worked if we had started a relationship, as those dynamis were just never there, but for the aspects of my life that she was ionvolved with, she fitted like a glove.
