Drink plenty of fluids. It will help because it washes this place where your nose is connected to your throat inside (I don't know the name) this is where bacteria likes to stay.

I think that you should just take it easy- its probably just a more severe case of the comon cold. There are no prescriptions that a doctor can give you if it is. You could try buying some cold and flu tablets from the chemist. I find the best thing to do for a runny nose is to use eucalyptus tissues. As for the sore throat, there are lozenges that contain a local anesthetic that can be used to numb your throat. I hope that helps!

Have you tried tylenol? (Generic actually works really well.) If you have and that didn't work, you might need to try antibiotics. . .once again generic is just as good. Even though your sore throat is getting better, you could get it again in a way. I have been sick on and off for the last two weeks with something like that. I never took antibiotics for it, which is probably why it is taking so long to go away.

Drinking tea is a very good wayto help get rid of a cold and put some honey in it too. And if you take a really long hot shower and then when your about to get out turn it on really cold for long as you can handle. And that really helps with my cold and I read this in a book.

Make tea with a tea bag, Honesy and a fresh lemon with a tad bit of Liquor in it, an liquor will do, it awakens the senses, but if your too young to drink, then its not needed, just use honey, tea and lemon, make sure its piping hot otherwise it wont work, hope I helped

I just got over a terrible cold, and I cut it in half by using "Cold-Eeze" Zinc Lozenges. Try it out, it works better than anything I've used.

gurgle with lukewarm salty water... take a warm bath with some aroma oils in it - it will clean out your nose for sure.....
drink a hot tea with lemon in it, afterwards and take a good night's sleep - you should be better by next day

if it is an allergy, get yourself tested and find out what could be causing that irritation and get some antihistaminics prescribed
