IF ALL MARINES HATE THE GOD DAMN CORPS THAN WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP GOING AND BEING GOD DAMN JARHEADS

I've been in the Marines for 6 years and I have Loved it!!! I think you must have been to Boot Camp and did'nt make!!! Oh well there is always the Air Force for you. I do have respect for all other branches I just had to throw that in!!

Perhaps because these wonderful young men and women are patriotic and want to serve their country the best way they know how. I am ex-Air Force, but I know that the Marine Corps is a fine institution, a great branch of our military with outstanding men and women serving all over the world. These brave people deserve our admiration and respect. Is it possible that you could muster some?

None of the Marines I have ever known hate the Corp. They love it. You probably ought to think of raising your expectations about the character of the people you associate with.
The Corp has a very long, and celebrated history of honorable service to this nation.

Get a clue. If all the people hated it they wouldn't be in it. Go ahead and quote a select few and label them as "all." And just who the hell are you to call anyone a "Damn Jarhead." You are only proving your ignorance.

We don't hate it in the sense that it's so awful and we are beaten and blah blah blah. We say that just because were always gone, we are held to a higher standard and we are always trying to motivate the ones lagging. To wear that Eagle, Globe and Anchor is probably one of the proudest moments in any Marines life. They are not complaining about it when people are thanking them or the chicks are digging the title.

Every Government needs a Military. Many of those in the Military do believe that they are going out their for a good reason and I admire them for that. Not everyone is going to Iraq, many are stationed in other places.
You should not be questioning why someone joins the Military but thanking them for keeping you free!

IF YOU WERE NEVER ONE OF US YOU WOULD'T UNDERSTAND. AN UNSWERVING LOVE OF GOD, CORPS, AND COUNTRY IS THE BACKBONE OF OUR OUTFIT. THATS WHY I WOULD GUESS 99% WILL ALWAYS BE PROUD OF THEIR SERVICE AND NEVER EVER CONSIDER THEMSELVES AN EX. A FORMER ACTIVE DUTY MARINE IS THE CORRECT TERM. ANY OTHER EX WILL BE FOREVER YOUR BROTHER. I CANT EVER WEAR A MARINE CORPS T-SHIRT OR CAP WITHOUT GETTING PATS ON THE BACK OR FIRM HANDSHAKES FROM FORMER JARHEADS WHOM IVE NEVER MET BEFORE AND MOST LIKELY NEVER SEE AGAIN.

They also call it the Crotch. These guys give up a lot to serve. In return, they get poor pay, some benefits, and the right to gripe. It makes the day go better.
