Well I have to get GLASSES and I do not like it what should I do cause my mom well not get me contacts????

Pick out a nice pair of frames and enjoy your new glasses. When you become an adult, then you can decide to purchase contacts. Until then, mom is the boss.

Glasses can bring out some great features in person's face. They are very fashionable and in alot of case, people will put on FAKE glasses cause they look so good with them. There are so many styles and sizes now, not to mention the metal is so light on some that they practically look invisible....Enjoy the new look you're about to get...When you get older you can look into contacts....I must say thought that I still choose glasses over contacts...I saw a friend get something stuck under her contacts once....the pain she went through was horrible.

If you have to get glasses, it's something you need to do, but how many times have you seen people buy sunglasses and check out all the really nice frames, just to be able to show off a nice style of frame when they don't need glasses? There are so many cool styles out now, hundreds and hundreds, you're going to love picking out a style that suits your personality. Personally, I'd give glasses a try first; all you have to do is take them off when you don't need them; contacts have so many rules and you need to keep them under strict conditions. If you're just starting out with eyeware, pick out a cool frame and make a fashion statement; you can always go to contacts later. If your mom is paying for them, she should have a say. She probably wants to spare you all of the maintenance and inconvenience of keeping contacts. So get 'em later when you can pay for them yourself after you've checked out glasses.

Be the happy spirit that you are and just try and find the best glasses you can find within your mothers price range. and just be creative in making your glasses fun as far as color goes. pay attention to different people and the frames they wear.if you see someone with a style you admire ask where did they get there frames. or save up the money to buy your own frames or contacts. to suit your taste. remember you make the glasses they don't make you.

Wear them, shut up complaining, save your money, buy your own. Your mom doesn't have money to throw away on contacts that you may not be able to tolerate. My son was like you, got glasses, wouldn't wear them, got contacts and wouldn't take care of them or wear them. I had to get him back in glasses again because he brattily threw the glasses away.

It's not easy being a parent just as it is not easy being a kid.

Unfortunately, contacts and surgery don't work for lots of kids . . . did your optometrist say it was a no go ?
Sometimes, they just cost too much $$ so if the optometrist says it is OK, then maybe you could earn some $$ babysitting or something to get them !
Glasses do look cool, but they can be a nuisance too.

are u going to wear ur glasses 24/7 or just to read from far away. anyway if u plays sports or do something with motion like gymnastics, or running tell her that ur glasses will brake and u need contacts

check into Rimless glasses. there is no frame around the glass, so it's much less noticeable that you're wearing glasses. you can just type Rimless glasses into any search engine, leading you to sites where you can see what they look like.
