I am finding it difficult My bf is from india and he does not want to disapiont his family so he has ask me to promise him no matter what happens when he goes back to india even if he gets married to another if i will remain good friends I dont think I could stand seeing him with another because I love him.What should I do?????

if you really loved him and wish him well and stuff, the least you can do is to try and stay freinds, tho you should tell him your feelins about why it may be hard to stay freinds, he should be able to understand it

Hi, the sad truth is no. you love him right tell him! make a sacrifice for him move to india and marry him and you can always come vist your family you can come see them in the summer ,thanksgiving, christmas it would be as if you never left at all . listen i know how you feel you would hate to see him with another women . you think about him moving so far away and it breaks you heart and i'm sure you have thought about moving to india but you are afraid to take a chance you want him to be happy i know .if he is the love of your life you will regret it so much if you missed the chance to have a wonderful life with him you might get married but you would always find your self thinking about him always wondering if he is happy and you would always have that big whole in your heart ! just take the chance and move to india you have nothing to lose! hope every thing works out ! I think that you should look after yourself and not make any promises that it would be painful for you to keep. If he can't promise you what YOU want then you don't have to promise to do what he wants, especially if you couldn't stand the thought of seeing him with someone else. You could tell him that you need some time before you make that promise and see how you feel later.

All you can do is tell him how you feel. If he doesn't or won't return the feelings, there isn't much you can do. You'll get over it in time, and very possibly still be friends. There is no harm in telling someone you love them, it is a nice thing to hear even if they don't feel it back. At least, you won't live in the regret that you should have told him. Good Luck.

I'm sorry to say this but there isn't much you can do. My best friend was in love with me for about 5 years but I just didn't have feelings for him. To keep things short, he decided to still be friends with me rather than nothing at all. We still are best frineds till this day. I know it's hard but it'll get better with time. It's a horrible situation but it'll be okay.

Let this one go...if he really loved you he would stand up for you against his family...i know b.c my brother had to do this.....if he marries someone else dont be the other woman and wreck a family...move on and keep yourself and your heart at a distance from him...

well you can still become good friends but if he rly loved you then no matter wht is family thinks of you, you guys should still be together
but i'm sure that with time you can move on and find someone else

How old are you?? If you are young enough, you may realize he is not the love of your life. Hang in there and move on/heal yourself and then you can be friends.

I personally couldn't. It would break my heart every time i saw him, and make me sick to the stomach that he was with another woman.
