Larry, I've answered this same question from you before, and you ignored me.
I believe that you THOUGHT you were a Christian. You know what? I was raised in the faith too. I first became a Christian when I was seven. I went on mission trips, I was baptized, I sang in the choir, and I was VERY involved with the church. I put a lot of time AND money into my "faith."
At thirteen, I started to fall away from it. I felt that I had been brainwashed into believing, and I ALSO thought that I had been a Christian before, and that God had failed me because either He didn't exist, or I had been serving the wrong God.
However, after twelve years, I came BACK to Christianity.
Now I know that I was never a Christian. I simply took my parents' faith and made it my own. I had no clue what it really meant to be a Christian.
I'm not saying that this is the same as your situation...but I have a feeling that it's very close. I hope one day you see it too.
You're always in my thoughts and prayers.

You must not have been born again. That is a big change that wouldn't go away. You would still be in love with the Lord then. Maybe not all excited only talking about the Lord making people think your a nut after a while but you wouldn't throw away what I have with the Lord. Your conversion to Christianity was only surface. Must have built your house on sand.

None of the things you listed in your pedigree qualifies you as a christian. All your atheist, deist, agnostic friends that are ex-Christians are probably just like you. You "say" you once were a christian-but now you are not. I think you are just as confused now as you were then. You never were a christian, and neither were your friends. If God is powerful enough to save you and wipe away your sins, then he is powerful enough to keep you safe from sin-which is where you are right now. The bottom line is that you are not and never were a christian.

Christians don't disbelieve you.
They've merely taken notice of your disbelief in God.
If you've heard the Good News, but rejected it, your having heard it in the first place means nothing.
There's little more the average person can do - other than reminding you that Jesus is there.

What makes you believe that you ever were a true believer?
The Christian religion is not about doing liturgical things. Its goal is to know God. The Bible says that, "Now this is eternal life, that they may know God and Jesus Christ who God has sent".
I pity you, you are badly in error and prideful too. How poor you are!

Many Christians are ex-athiests, agnostics.....
Try being baptised a Christian (not Catholic), when you understand what it is all about - rather than as a child when you have no idea what baptism is all about.

Because I also came from a strict Catholic up bringing. Then denied God because of what I was being falsley taught by catholics. Then I finally realized I had to find God myself without man, and guess what I did and He exists. That is what false religion does to people casts doubt and God will hold accountable all who casted doubt, and turned His people away from Him.

We not only believe that you were once Catholic we believe you have fulfilled the biblical prophecy:
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ....false accusers,....fierce,despisers of them that are good,....traitors, ,....lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,.......ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of Truth".( II Tim. 3:1-7)
" Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy..."(1Tim.4:1)
"...But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." (
