No they don't for the dead know nothing at all; and dust you are and to dust you return;
oh, and God did not make the earth for nothing, He made it even to be inhabited and yes;
There is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous here on earth; and
those that make up the Kingdom of God, (144,000), are bought from the earth to be resurrected to heaven.

When Lazarus woke from death, he still had a material body. He still had work to do. After Jesus died, he too had a material body, and showed Thomas the nail prints.
If paradise or heaven is just beyond death, why did Jesus tell us the last enemy to overcome is death. Why doesn’t this age get it. Until you turn from it, you are subject to it, that is sin and death. You never read that by simply dying, you get a reward. If this were so Jesus would not have had to go to the cross, but could have taught ways of efficient suicide, rather than ways of overcoming temptation and sin. Heaven arrives only to hearts that have done the work as per Jesus’ teachings.
It is like anything else in life. If you quit working on a project, it is not done. If you never start or turn from the goal of reaching heaven, it is not done.
This is not complicated stuff here.

absolutely fascinating question!! I think of things like this, though unfortunately I don't have much in the way of a concrete answer. I believe, God will create a new heaven and a new earth, like is stated in the bible. I don't know if we will go back and forth, OR if we were to go to heaven now, while the earth is "finishing its course". Also, the bible also talks about the dead in Christ, rising when he returns. There will also be a judgement, even for christians, for all the words, and things we have said. We will not go to hell, if we have truly believed and confessed our sins, and trust in Jesus as savior, but we will be judged for careless words the bible says.
All that to say, I have wondered, about the new earth, and those ruling it, and who they will be ruling, etc. All I know, is i cannot wait, and that when we see him, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All these parts, are from the bible. I will have to study it all more.

Yes, Christians go to heaven when they die.
The Bible makes it clear that the earth will be remade after the tribulation and its destruction. The Bible refers to this as the new Heaven because until that time, heaven is being in the air or the "space above the earth". Heaven is also defined as being in the presence of God. In general when the Bible speaks of the Kingdom of God it is not referring to a geographic place. It is instead referring to a method of living by faith and not as the pagan world lives (in ever increasing sin and being unrepentant etc.).

There are a number of groups that God is dealing with and though Christians go to heaven when they die other groups do not. There will one day be a new heaven and a new earth where some of the prophesies will be fullfilled. The kingdom of God is internal. Jesus said "the kingdom of God is within you" so that does not effect eternity.

Good readin!
And your correct.
Research the term Sheol in the Bible.
This is where we go when we die.
Hell is only mentioned in the new testament.
If Hell was the final destination for some people, then it would have been mentioned in both the New AND Old Testament.
And its not!
All humans, believers and non-believers, wait in Sheol until the end days.
For Revelation says that no one is judged till the end.
Sheol is seperated into two sides, one for believers and one for non-believers. And the believers side has something called the water of life.

Christians that die now go to heaven to be with the Lord, and at the rapture those alive will go to be with him in heaven. But we come back at Armageddon and stay for 1000 years. After that a new heaven and earth and we are living here permanently

You write:
"... if we all go to heaven when we died... none of what the bible speaks of makes sense..."
Congratulations, newly awakened one - to the real truth!!!
Now - hold that thawt, and apply it to everything else that is in your moral handbag . . . taught to you by your ancestors, who were taught by their ancestors - all the way back to the origin of the Hebrew book, that everyone calling themselves a 'christian' follows, like a pack of mindless sheep . . .
You are sooooo correct, in stating that none of 'it' makes any sense , , , so? Follow your own heart, choosing which 'right' and wrong you shall practice . . . If you are tooo far out in left field? society shall put you in a better place - perhaps jail - but, at least you were being a 'true' person . . . to thine own self, first.
