Especially what do women look for in a man?

So many factors, some pre-conscious! Of course there is looks. Style. Values. Sense of humor. Seeming a good, responsible, trustworthy friend and provider for family if they are thinking about that. Honesty, openess, humility, self confidence. An overlap of interests and lifestyle.

You have to be exciting...too much comfort makes for a familial sort of relationship which lacks zing. Too little comfort makes for a lack of emotional connection and trust. It is that balance of familiar comfort and excitement that they feel. Some scientists say that sense of SMELL is a big part of it. Like the smell of someone givng you a preconscious notion, you just can't explain it. Scientists try to explain it with immunities, that your immune system is characterized by certain smell. We look for someone with different immunities than ourselves to provide for diversity in immunity for our offspring, making them more likely to survive. People that are too genetically similar have a difficult time conceiving as well.

Then there is a certain pattern of connecting/relating that each person has...attachment patterns. Fast, slow, moving in vs remaining reserved. How much eye contact, how little eye contact. How much do they "need" you? Not at all? Too much?

We tend towards people that compliment ourselves well and also to try to replicate something from the past, sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. There is a gut level thing that happens as we get to connect with someone, a comfort with their style of attaching. Are you going to wait around forever for that coy self absorbed or fearful person? Are you going to withstand the anxiety provoked by the invasive and puppylike person or controlling expectant person?

And there is SO much more that we just cannot comprehend! One can tell from subtle inclinations, a quiet voice, from a summation of MANY things like these. Not so much thoughts per se, but inclinations. At some point there is a good enough convergence of the myriad of factors and they are interested in you.

Does that help a bit? Oh, and have a ton of money if the other stuff doesn't work, they seem to like that too.

The first thing is looks. And everyone is attracted to something different. For example, my boyfriend is tall and thin with dark hair and blue eyes. My sister on the other hand, likes guys with more muscles, who have blonde hair and dark eyes. Once they initially are interested in looks, they go for personality. And every woman is different here too. I like guys who are quiet, and funny, and HONEST. I also like when they can be goofy. But my sister likes guys who are outgoing and loud. I think they also look for similar interests. I love animals, so i was looking for someone who also loves animals. And then there is the pharamones (sp). It is a persons smell, and you don't know that this is attracting you to a person, but a lot of times it is part of it.

There is a lot that goes into attraction, and everyone is attracted to something different.

every women is different from the one another. same with guys. I think initially i am attracted to men that actually feel comfortable having a conversation. in appearance i go for the unconventional guy....the guy that not too many are looking at...lol i also think that a cleanly dressed guy and someone who looks like he is taking care of himself attracts women. but like i said everyone is different...

Women look for honesty, security, companionship, good conversation, great since of style and most of all a great since of humor. Looks to me and most friends are not all that important anymore as long as were being treated well.
