I find it a bit cheaper to buy Canadian currency in Canada than the US. A bank will usually give you a better rate than a hotel. Hotels mark up the exchange rate.

ATMs will cost a cost which will very probable wipe out any adjustments in change charges you may get by utilizing a monetary corporation or change save on both fringe of the border. What I do for my budgeted vacation funds: i purchase 25-50% in travellers cheques and change maximum some thing else at my monetary corporation earlier i bypass. i do not ignore that if i want additional funds, the ATMs will be there, yet i'd by no skill trust in them for the vast majority of the change. No delivers, yet i'm tempted to signify to you that you'll get a extra perfect change cost in Canada on the little change shops like alongside Robson street in Vancouver. they're honestly extra perfect than Cdn banks. so that you'll opt to take area of your funds in US funds and attempt that. even with you do, do no longer use the change cubicles in airports or inns or eating places, and so on. they do no longer compete for the perfect charges.
