Some of the meds they might give you can have side effects that make you sleep, or some can even be used intentionally to help you sleep. All medications effect everyone differently, so for you it might not be the same. Good luck.

Anti-deppresants has sedative effects and will lead to drowsiness or lack of alertness. So safety is the priority when you take anti-depressants. Never drive and always ask someone to drive for you. Also remember that it takes 2 - 4 weeks before this drugs take its effect. Lithium is unstable so you need to have its blood levels check every now and then. Maintain sodium intake and drink 2 - 3 liters of water per day. That will prevent Lithium toxicity caused by a build up of Lithium levels in you blood.
