My hand is still dysfunctional from it, and I have occasional pain.

One almost cut my fingers off with a ruler. I think we should not only sue them but sell the nuns for the pay off. My hand has never been right since. This happened 45 years ago. It made me hate Catholics and that hate took years to get over.

That depends on when the incident happened. If the particular nun is dead, and it happened decades ago, then the answer is no. There is a statute of limitations on assualt and battery cases.

I find it strange that such an obvious injury wasn't prosecuted when it happened. If you were a child, why didn't your parents seek charges against the abuser? Why didn't the doctor call the police? Both people are responsible for their actions (or lack there-of) after your battery incident.

Have you tried to contact the particular church where this happened, or the nun that hurt you? That might also be a good place to start.

You can sue the nun. The whole church isn't really responsible but you know stupid people sue anyone for ANYTHING nowadays. Its pathetic and makes me want to slap them with a glove and toss a glass of lemon water into their eyes. Hmm lemons.....

If this is true then yes you can sue. A lot of people have already got compensation due to mistreatment from nuns.

I think you have a serious amount of nerve to compare yourself to the people who were molested by priests.

Good luck with that. I feel sorry for what you went through but look at how many people had to get molested before they did anything about it.

Purely emotional response from another Catholic school survivor.
An attorney will generally review your case without fee & if it has merit will take it to court on a contingency basis for a percentage of any cash awarded to you if you win.
Go for it bro.

You probably deserved it! That doesnt mean all priests are molesters, some evolutionists, and atheists AND satanists are child molesters
