What amounts do Visa Prepaid Cards come in?

I am thinking of going to my local Walgreens and purchasing a Visa Prepaid card. I am wondering how much you buy it for and the value it has on it?

I read on the Visa site last year that the maximum they will allow on a prepaid card was $3000 US. You can buy as many as you want.

Whatever amount you wish.

Also, a lot of banks now offer them. Check out your bank too as another place to buy them.
