I heard that there is 1% chance or higher of getting Influenza (the flu) when you take the flu shot. Does it make sense to take it?

well all vaccines have a weakened form of the virus in it to help your body build immunity by producing the right antibodies.
if you have a compromised immunse system (young, elderly, pre-existing condition) getting the shot is worth it.
personally, as a healthy young adult, i choose not to get the shot because i know my body has a good chance at fighting it naturally.

Absolutely! I have had the flu twice, and it was just awful. I was sick for 10 days and the cough lasted longer. I never want it again. I have never had a reaction to the shot. Not even a low fever. Just an ache in my arm from the shot for one day.

1%? no brainer! I missed my flu shot two years ago and was never so miserable! I won't miss again! You stand a much better chance of being struck by lightening.
