I'm a girl, so I wouldn't know...
But when a guy gets an erection (say, while kissing or something), does it just go away? What happens? Does it go away on its own, or only if you do something about it (like, become pleasured or something)?
Totally serious question, by the way.

Yes, it will go away. All an erection is, is an increase of blood flow to the manly regions. When a man gets excited, this usually occurs. An average man thinks about something sexual about every 3 minutes so you can imagine how many erections they get in 24 hours however slight they may be. Don't worry about it hurting them to not be relieved of this, they are not going to be physically hurt if something isn't done about it. Thier pride may be hurt a little but they are not going to die or anything. Don't let them make you believe that they can't just let it go away because of what they call "blue balls" either, this is a very rare occurrance and it isn't going to happen from mild petting. They are just trying to make you feel bad for not finishing something that you may or may not want to finish. If they are trying that, they need to try to fool someone else. Good luck!!!

If a guy (like me) has an erection, it will go away after a while. Sometimes they're harder than others, but just because its there doesn't meen someone needs to pleasure it. I find that just trying to think about something not sexual/attractive helps, but normally they just go away when they want to.

Get to a hospitak if it lasts more than 3 hours. It could be a blod clot and if not looked at right away it can cause perminant dammage. It can cause you to have perminant erectile dysfunction forever. It can also cause some other problems. I would get it looked at. And if you have taken any pill like viagra then I would be speeding to the hospital if I were you. When taken when not needed they can cause blood clots resulting in permanant dammage and erections that last days. -Connor

I dont really get the point of your question but if you mean what I think, then yes, its completely involuntary, like if some one sees a really hot girl hlaf naked it might just go away involuntarily, or any other means to do it on purpose would be a masturbation.

That's the oldest trick in the book, where the guy says, "But BABY! It won't go down unless you touch it!" Don't fall for that crap. Erections go away by themselves.

Yes. it can go away on its own. And if you do something about it. It all depends on the guy and what the situation is and how young or old he is. Very many factors to it.

Yes, eventually it does go away. No, he does not HAVE to be pleasure for it to go away. Just like the excited feelings you get from kissing and such, even though you have not be pleasured, they eventually subside.

eventually it will go down be it either w/o pleasure or w/ pleasure (he ejaculates, semen is released from his body) w/leasure. w/o pleasure it will go down with time a min. or or so. An ejaculation ocurs as a result of a male being stimulated visually, physically, psychologically, etc. and blood flow rushes to the penis. Check out webmd for more info. on ejaculation.
